Sunset Clouds #2 online acrylic painting lesson how to paint a sky (+pla...

There is a special joy from painting a sky. Its like those
clouds that have been out of reach our whole lives can be touched at
long last. My challenge make a beginner lesson online that is
emotionally rewarding but still fun and easy. A step by Step  acrylic
painting tutorial of sunset clouds that don't make the novice feel
overwhelmed. As the Art Sherpa its my purpose to make this a personal
painting party not a class. Perhaps you get a little liquid courage and
make a Merlot masterpiece, or you find the strength  in the dark rich
aroma of your favorite coffee beverage. If your a little brush maybe
fruit juice is your creative fuel. It is important to find a way into
your painting with a twist.... faith. Faith in yourself. Perhaps that
faith starts in believing I have the tools to guide you but it is my
wish that you discover that the magic is inside of you all along. You
lack nothing to be a whole happy soul capable of profound beauty. The
kinds of beauty you discover in painting sunset clouds. If you could
dare to go paint a sunset yourself on your own I would have served my
purpose as your Art Sherpa. This is more than art party it is a Hart
Party. You were destined to be beautiful. I wish you a week of
creativity, Joy, and breathtaking sunsets. Please share your work with
me. I will see you at the Easel Soon.....Cinnamon Cooney

Clouds #1 Online Acrylic painting lesson How to paint a sky

How to paint clouds? It is hard to find art lessons that are more for the new artist then the experienced one. There are many many good even great how to paint cloud tutorials out there. However if you want a acrylic cloud painting lesson there are a lot less, Most of it is oils still. Even though the lion share of us have moved on to Acrylic paints. Even though acrylics are much easier for new artists. Frankly they smell better too. I have kids I need things that could be eaten. I do not know about your house but at mine everything goes into somebodies mouth, its insane! There is no way turpanoids can live here. Forget gun control with kids it about ....poison control.. that I am now on a first name basis with. We now know that oil lamp oil, potpourri, silica, and colloidal oatmeal are not a death sentence. Luckily we survived tire cleaner in the eyes after a trip to the grandparents. So acrylics LOVE them. I love the classics Matisse Devian, Liquitex, and Golden. I am not saying not to store these in a safe place I am just saying that when life happens ....and it will better to have products that are not so 911.
Well I really Digress onto a big family soap box. The thing is a step by step of how to paint fluffy clouds is important. That it be a painting lesson for beginners even more important. This is that a fun eay tips and tricks free online painting lesson you can access 24 hours  a day....why? Because I want you to have the chance to paint. I want it to be fun. As the Art Sherpa I want Hart Party to be a place where you can have a personal painting party anywhere and anytime. May your week be free of 911 calls and I will see you at the easel soon. Painting Parties Save the World

The Painting Party or as I like to say the Craftertainment movement is saving the art world! We took such a hit in the economic crash, the fall of Kincaid galleries, and the closing of mom and pop frame shops. These things were a big deal in the art world even if we had not considered them as part of the "Fine" art world. Big fish and little fish swimming in the same sea. I remember art Expo  In New York. Big artists and bigger sales. Felt like magic to me. Then poof it was gone. People bought prints and only licensing your art had real commercial traction.
Out of the ruins came the painting party. What a clever and novel idea... people can paint. If you help them and let them have a little liquid courage. There is an artist inside everyone. This Craftertainment idea caught on and now cities have all kind of paint and drink experiences. I have painted canvass, bottles, plates, ceramic, and shoes. Upscales places to low rent places people come to remember what every kid with a box of crayons knows art is fun. Its a whole new world now as people pack a bottle and head out for a new kind of nighttime fun. There is room in America for the creative soul! Reason to be silly. Reason to be proud. YOU CAN PAINT!

Artists are Crazy People

When I tell people I am an artist they look at me as if I said I am a Wizard for a career path. In fact for years I dropped artist and said stay at home mom. Which still was received with more acceptance and respect than Artist. But I am out of the game closet and wearing my paint and smock proudly. Yes I am an Artist. My imagination is what I will be using to pay my light bill this month and no I will not be imagining the lights on. It is interesting how what you do and who you are can affect people. After all its not like I drug them out of their job and asked them to also be an Artist with me. We are not a cult we are a Culture! In fact artist, writers, chefs, and Musicians are what give us any sense of culture. In creation we are part of the divine and are therefore a little magical...scary. Perhaps our bare open honestly in the face of social convention is just to daring. Either way I am only daring to be myself.

Being Original or Being Authentic?

In art we place great value on being original. The first to an idea or concept. Its like an Eureka race against the whole world of other artists. However being Authentic is where all the value really lies. By now ALL things under the sun have at least been toyed with. New ideas are really built on the blocks of old ones. Life is expansion. To be original or to be Authentic that is the question. Where does the happiness lie? If you spend your days driven to be be the newest most original artists on the block you may actually be driving yourself away from your Authentic Happiness. Being true to who you are and what really lives in your heart will lead to true bliss. Being unique for the sake of being unique may lead to you down a road of many uncomfortable and difficult experiences. Often what we think of as being Unique Like Lady Gaga is in fact Authentic creativity mixed with expansion on what has come before.  It time to see being original as not being first but being the most true to the creative spirit. Ideas do not spawn out of a black whole of nothing they are created by connected experiences and revisiting them in a way that’s true to the purpose of the creator. Big C to little c.

Art is A process NOT a Product

The value we get from art is not having something to hang on a wall and brag about to our friends….though that is lovely. Its worth is in the discoveries of self while creating something out of nothing. The life skills we achieve from painting can only be attained by the act of painting. Judging your artistic experience as meaningful by the result is missing the point of why we paint all together. In art we can shed the Shackles of GOOD and BAD. With practice just BEING takes center stage. Freedom by Coming to terms with being our own inspiration. Quietly finding the inner voice that  is pure and true to the core of who we are. The emotional growth spawned from being creative never looses its efficacy. It is at potent at 50 as age five.  There is always room to grow, adapt, and change! You will always have more to give each painting you create. Art is NEVER ending Growth. HARTISTS embracing this infinite potential inside and out. You are not grown, you are not done, you are and ever will be in Process.
